Community Engagement and Social Innovation – professional course

The professional module details the relationships between community engagement, social innovation, and energy citizenship, emphasizing people’s motivations and goals for being part of structures such as energy communities. The main advantages and outcomes of community participation in empowerment, its contribution to the SDGs, and the broader effects it can have on individuals and communities in other areas of their lives (spillover effect) are discussed. The module ends by referring to consensus-building and some conflict resolution strategies that can be generated as effects of different governance structures.
